Onboarding

Onboarding covers everything between an offer being accepted and a new employee becoming fully productive — collecting documentation, setting up payroll and statutory registrations (PF, ESI where applicable), granting system access, and introducing them to team processes.

Onboarding is also where most of an employee's HR data enters the system for the first time — salary structure, bank details, PAN, and emergency contacts — so errors made here tend to resurface repeatedly in every subsequent payroll cycle until corrected.
