Short-notice paid leave for unplanned personal matters, typically capped at 7–12 days a year.
Casual Leave covers short, often unplanned absences for personal matters — a family emergency, an appointment, or simply a day needed on short notice. It's distinct from Sick Leave and Earned Leave, and most Indian companies cap it around 7 to 12 days per year.
Unlike Earned Leave, Casual Leave usually can't be carried forward to the next year or encashed — it either resets annually or is capped at a small carry-forward limit, depending on the company's leave policy.
