Resignation

An employee's voluntary decision to end their employment, triggering the notice period and offboarding process.

Resignation is an employee's voluntary decision to end their employment, formally submitted in writing and triggering the notice period specified in their employment contract. It sets the offboarding process, F&F settlement timeline, and last working day in motion.

The gap between resignation date and last working day is where most exit logistics happen — knowledge transfer, notice period negotiation if the employee wants to leave early, and the start of documentation for relieving and F&F settlement.
